About Us

We are investors focused on identifying, developing and operating infrastructure platforms positioned to benefit from the accelerating growth of digital infrastructure and energy demand, with the objective of generating durable, risk-adjusted returns.

HC Capital was formed by David Herrmann and Herb Chambers IV following a decade-long relationship built on a shared philosophy of disciplined investment development and partnership-driven execution across the energy sector. The founders first met while negotiating the acquisition of an energy infrastructure asset identified as a strategic component of a broader midstream platform that Herb was founder and CEO of called EVX Midstream. That transaction established a long-term working relationship and mutual appreciation for identifying opportunities where operational expertise and structured capital can create durable value.

David Herrmann serves as Chairman of Herrmann Family Companies, a San Antonio-based family office with investments spanning energy, ranching, agriculture, real estate, and technology. Herb Chambers IV serves as Managing Partner of HC Capital Partners and brings more than 25 years of experience creating, structuring, and developing energy infrastructure investments across midstream and power-linked platforms.

Together, the founders established HC Capital with the objective of generating meaningful, risk-adjusted returns through the development and ownership of essential infrastructure assets that support long-term economic growth.

Shortly after its formation, HC Capital established HC Infrastructure Partners, an integrated development platform focused on the creation, ownership, and operation of critical infrastructure assets across the energy value chain. Under this structure, microgrid, traditional natural gas, crude oil, and produced water infrastructure assets are developed and operated through the Wrangler Infrastructure platform, while power-linked and data-adjacent infrastructure assets are developed under the Energy Ranch platform.

This integrated approach allows HC Capital Partners to originate, develop, and optimize infrastructure assets that connect fuel supply with growing demand for reliable power, supporting the increasing convergence of energy infrastructure and digital infrastructure across the United States.
